At Piechips, we contribute to humanity progress. We created these Community Guidelines to support our mission while making sure Piechips users can use our services safely every day. We intend for these Guidelines to be clear and understandable for all members of our community. 

We created Piechips to be a place where it’s easy to communicate genuinely, access or create valuable and interesting contents, build relationships, and have fun. Our Community Guidelines ensure everyone finds belonging, but not at the expense of anyone else. These guidelines explain what is and isn’t allowed on Piechips. Everyone on Piechips must follow these rules, and they apply to all parts of our platform, including your content, behaviors, Pie’s, circles, and bots. We may consider relevant off-platform behavior when assessing for violations of specific Community Guidelines.

These Guidelines apply to all content (which includes all forms of communication, like text, images, links or attachments, emojis and creative tools) on all Piechips Applications or platforms (web, mobile, online and offline activities) and to all Piechips users, equally. Advertisers and media partners agree to additional guidelines, including the requirement that their content is accurate and, where appropriate, fact-checked. In certain cases, we won’t take action against content when it is newsworthy, factual, and relates to a matter of political, social, or other general concern to our community.

We’ve outlined here and in our Terms of Service specific rules for content that is prohibited on Piechips App. But it’s hard to anticipate every situation that might come up. The key is the spirit of these rules: we want Piechips platform to be a safe and positive experience for everyone. We reserve the right to decide, in our sole discretion, what content violates that spirit and will not be permitted on the platform.

Our Trust & Safety team reviews reports by users, moderators, or trusted reports. When someone violates these guidelines, we may take a number of enforcement steps against them including: issuing warnings; removing content; suspending or removing the accounts and/or Pie’s, Chips and Circles responsible; and potentially reporting them to law enforcement. If you come across a user, message, post, chip or Pie that appears to break these guidelines, please report it to us.

Respect Each Other

• Do not harass others or organize, promote, or participate in harassment. Disagreements happen and are normal, but making continuous, repetitive, or severe negative comments or circumventing a block or ban can cross the line into harassment and is not okay.
• We prohibit bullying or harassment of any kind. If someone blocks you, you may not contact them from another account.
• If someone is depicted in your Posts/chips/pies and asks you to remove it, please do! Respect the privacy rights of others.
• Do not organize, promote, or participate in hate speech or hateful conduct. It’s unacceptable to attack a person or a community based on attributes such as their race, ethnicity, caste, national origin, sex, gender identity, gender presentation, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, age, serious illness, disabilities, or other protected classifications.
• Do not make threats of violence or threaten to harm others. This includes indirect or suggestive threats, as well as sharing or threatening to share someone’s personally identifiable information.
• Do not use Piechips for the organization, promotion, or support of violent extremism. This also includes glorifying violent events, the perpetrators of violent acts, or similar behaviours.
• Do not sexualize children in any way. You cannot share content or links which depict children in a pornographic, sexually suggestive, or violent manner, including illustrated or digitally altered pornography that depicts children and conduct grooming behaviours. We report illegal content and grooming to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
• We strongly discourage and may take action against vigilante behaviour, as it can interfere with our investigation and ability to report to law enforcement.
• Do not make adult content available to anyone under the age of 18. You must be age 18 or older to participate in adult content on Piechips. You must apply the age-restricted label to any channels or circles if they contain adult content or other restricted content such as violent content.

• Do not use adult content in avatars, Pie’s, Circles, posts, Chips, Circle banners, Circle icons, emoji, stickers, or any other space that cannot be age-restricted. We prohibit accounts that promote or distribute pornographic content.
• We report all instances of child sexual exploitation to authorities. Never post, save, or send nude or sexually explicit content involving anyone under the age of 18 — even of yourself. Never ask a minor to send sexually explicit content. Breastfeeding and other depictions of nudity in certain non-sexual contexts may be permitted

• Do not share sexually explicit content of other people without their consent, or promote the sharing of non-consensual intimate materials (images, video, or audio), sometimes known as revenge porn.
• Do not share content that glorifies or promotes suicide or self-harm, including any encouragement to others to cut themselves or embrace eating disorders such as anorexia or bulimia.
• Self-harm threats used as a form of emotional manipulation or coercion are also prohibited.
• Do not share real media depicting gore, excessive violence, or animal harm, especially with the intention to harass or shock others.
• Do not share content that violates anyone’s intellectual property or other rights.

Respect Piechips

• Do not use Piechips to spam, manipulate engagement, or disrupt other people’s experience, including trying to influence or disrupt conversations using bots, fake accounts, multiple accounts, or other automation. This includes purchasing or selling methods of artificially increasing membership, such as via advertisements or botting.
• Do not organize, promote, or engage in any illegal or dangerous behaviour, such as sexual solicitation, human trafficking, and selling or facilitating the sale of prohibited or potentially dangerous goods (firearms, ammunition, drugs, and controlled substances). These activities are likely to get you terminated or get u kicked off Piechips, and may get you reported to law enforcement.
• Do not abuse Piechips products in any way, such as selling or purchasing an account or circle, or participating in fraudulent activities.
• Do not use self-bots or user-bots. Each account must be associated with a human, not a bot. Self-bots put strain on Piechips’s infrastructure and our ability to run our services.
• We prohibit pretending to be someone (or something) that you’re not, or attempting to deceive people about who you are. This includes impersonating your friends, celebrities, brands, or other organizations.
• We prohibit spreading false information that causes harm or is malicious, such as denying the existence of tragic events, unsubstantiated medical claims, undermining the integrity of civic processes, or manipulating content for false or misleading purposes.
• We disallow spam and deceptive practices, including imitating Piechips chat or Piechips as a company.
• Do not mislead Piechips’s support teams. Do not make false or malicious reports to Trust & Safety or Customer Support; send multiple reports about the same issue; or ask a group of users to report the same content or issue. These behaviours may result in action being taken on your account.
• Terrorist, extremist and hate groups are prohibited from using our platform. We have no tolerance for content that advocates or advances violent extremism or terrorism. Piechips reserves the right to remove users whom we have reason to believe, in our sole discretion, pose a clear and present danger to others, on or off of Piechips App. These include leaders of hate groups and terrorist organizations, and individuals with a reputation for inciting violence or behaviour that we believe poses a threat to human life and Digital Social Life.
• Don’t use Piechips App for any illegal activity — including to promote criminal activity; facilitate or participate in cybercrime; or to buy, sell or facilitate sales of illegal or regulated drugs, contraband, weapons, and counterfeit goods or documents.
• We prohibit the promotion of regulated goods or industries, including illegal gambling, tobacco products, and alcohol

Be Honest

• Do not share false or misleading information (otherwise known as misinformation). Content that is false, misleading, and can lead to significant risk of physical or societal harm may not be shared on Piechips. We may remove content if we reasonably believe its spread could result in damage to physical infrastructure, injury of others, obstruction of participation in civic processes, or the endangerment of public health.
• Do not coordinate or participate in malicious impersonation of an individual or an organization. Satire and parody are okay.
• Do not engage in activities intended to cause damage or gain unauthorized access to another user’s account, network, or system. This includes impersonating Piechips staff, distributing malware, authentication token theft, phishing, DDOS, and other hacking or social engineering techniques.
• Do not distribute or provide access to content involving the hacking, cracking, or distribution of stolen goods, pirated content, or accounts. This includes sharing or selling malicious information, game cheats or hacks.

If you see any activity that violates these guidelines, our Terms of Service, or our other policies, please report it to us in the Piechips mobile app or sending an email to piechipsapp@piechips.com and complaints@piechips.com .

These guidelines will continue to evolve over time. This means we may take action against a user, circle, or content that violates the spirit of these guidelines when we encounter a new threat or harm that is not explicitly covered in the current version.

We will always make our best effort to notify you when we update these guidelines, but it is up to you to follow the spirit of them: keep Piechips safe and a place for everyone to belong. Thanks for doing your part.

Please take these Guidelines seriously and honour them in the spirit in which they are intended.

If you violate these Community Guidelines, we may remove the offending content, terminate or limit the visibility of your account, and/or notify law enforcement. We engage with global law enforcement when activity poses a threat to human life.  If your account is terminated for violating our Terms of Service or these Guidelines, you are not allowed to use Piechips App or services again.
